Cannot figure out how to make decks, balconies, fences, or landscapes. Or, could not find sample layouts.

Resolution: Decks: Adding a deck to an existing floor plan (first floor)
1. Select the "Decks" icon.
2. In the left Deck Types menu , select "add new" icon (looks like a
folder with a plus symbol).
3. Within in the deck properties dialogue box, select "shape script."
4. Select shape # 2 for example, click 'ok' and enter the name of the
deck and click 'ok' again.
5. Select the outer edge of an exterior wall (right on the line- it's
touchy) and drag the mouse to your left (you'll start to see a dotted line
representing the width of the deck and numeric length counter) and click to
establish the desired distance.
6. Move the mouse out (perpendicular to the exterior wall) to establish
the desired length and click again (you'll continue to see the bounding line
of the deck as you move the mouse).
7. The deck will redraw it's self compete with balustrade rails, stairs
etc.
8. To customize the deck, select 'Properties' to change stair width,
height, materials, or railing etc.
Balconies: Adding balconies to a floor plan (second floor)
1. Select the second floor (via upper right menu) or create one
2. Select the 'balconies' icon
3. Click on an exterior wall and move the mouse (cursor) out
perpendicular to wall and click to establish length, then click and drag
perpendicular to last balcony line to establish width and then click and
drag the cursor back to the exterior wall to finish.
4. You can customize the balcony via the 'Properties' menu.
Fences: Adding fences and gates to an existing drawing
1. Select the fence icon.
2. Click on the desired start point/location for the fence and drag the
icon to the desired end points, just as creating a standard wall.
3. You can create a gate(s) by selecting the 'gate' icon next to
'fences' icon and click anywhere on the fence(s) to establish a gate.
Landscape: Adding a landscape/terrain to an existing drawing
1. Select the 'landscape' icon which will bring up a menu displaying
several different landscape configurations.
2. Select the desired landscape/terrain type.
3. A cursor and mesh landscape/terrain will appear - place it wherever
you want.
4. You can edit the landscape/terrain mesh by clicking on it. Once the
mesh is highlighted, you can resize the mesh or rotate it.
5. If you double click on the mesh a 'Terrain Properties' dialogue box
appears with more options.
6. You can also add custom terrains, materials, etc.
There are sample layouts in the SAMPLES directory within the directory you installed Garden & Deck that you can customize or add to your layout.
