Cannot Import 3D Home Architect® 3.0 Files
|
| |
Your 3D
Home Architect® Deluxe 3.0 plan files may not import sucessfully
into 3D Home Interiors™ Deluxe 2.0. This problem can be fixed by
copying a file (HAPARSE.DLL) from the 3D Home Architect® Deluxe 3.0
folder into the 3D Home Interiors Deluxe™ 2.0 folder. NOTE:
This will only work if the 3D Home Architect file was originally
created in version 3.0, rather than versions 1.5, 2.0 or 2.1 Deluxe.
Prior to attempting an import, copy the HAPARSE.DLL
file from 3D Home Architect® Deluxe 3.0 and then place it into 3D
Home Interiors™ 2.0 folder.
NOTE: This fix pertains to the stand-alone versions of 3D Home
Architect® Deluxe 3.0 and 3D Home Interiors™ Deluxe 2.0; not to the
products that are packaged in the 3D Home Design Suite Deluxe 3.0.
This is the procedure.
- Click the Start button, select Programs, and then click Windows
Explorer.
- In Windows Explorer locate and then double-click the
C:\3DHAD3 folder so that it opens. (3DHAD3 = the 3D Home
Architect® folder.)
- Locate and double-click the 3DHI_2 folder. (The path is
C:\3DHAD3\3DHI_2.)
NOTE: If you are having difficulty finding the 3DHI_2 folder,
then you may need to configure Windows to Show All Files. To
complete this procedure, follow these instructions:
- Double-click the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop.
- Click View on the menu bar and then select Folder
Options (or Options).
- Click the View tab.
- Select the Show All Files option.
- Click on the Apply button and then on the click OK
button.
- Locate the The 3DHI_2 folder. It should now should
appear in the tree view.
- Locate the HAPARSE.DLL file in the 3DHI_2 folder.
- Right-click on the HAPASE.DLL so it is highlighted and then
select Copy.
- Locate the 3D Home Interiors folder. (Its default location
is C:\Program Files\3D Home Interiors 2.0.)
- If you have installed the 3D Home programs to your own
user-specified folders, then adjust the root folder names
accordingly.
- Double-click the 3D Home Interiors folder so that it opens.
- Right-click inside the folder and then select Paste. The
HAPARSE.DLL file should now appear in the 3D Home Interiors
folder.
- When asked if you want to replace the existing HAPARSE.DLL
file, choose Yes.
- Close the My Computer window.
- Close and then restart 3D Home Interiors™ Deluxe 2.0.
- Import the 3D Home Architect® 3.0 plan files. They will now
successfully import.
NOTE: 3D Home Interiors™ allows you to import and work with one 3D
Home Architect® room at a time. |

Putting Objects Inside Other Objects |
| |
A
correction should be made to page 67 of the 3D Home Interiors™
Deluxe 2.0 manual. The example given in the manual incorrectly
instructs you to drag the Television Set onto the Stereo
Entertainment Center Cabinet from the Elevation-Front View. If you
follow this instruction you will then see the error message, "Please
use the Camera View to place objects inside other objects." The
manual should read instead as, "Drag the Television set onto the
Stereo Entertainment Center Cabinet from the either Camera view or
the Floor Plan view."
The general guidelines for dragging objects in 3D Home Interiors™
Deluxe 2.0 are:
- Objects must be dragged onto other objects from either the Camera view
or the Floor Plan view.
- Once the object is placed, it is easier to move or resize it
from the Elevation view.
|
|
|
Television Set Cannot Be Placed Atop Cabinet
|
| |
Dragging a large object onto some cabinets might not work in the
Floor Plan view. For example, if you drag a television set onto an
Entertainment center, you might discover that the television set
jumps off to the right or to the left of the cabinet.
- This only becomes an issue when the cabinet is too tall for the placed
object to fit.*
In the example of the television set, it cannot be placed on top
of a cabinet because it would protrude through the ceiling of
the room.
- When this becomes an issue, resize the cabinet as desired,
enabling the object to fit.
*Note that an object that is too large to fit can be dragged on a
cabinet while in the Camera view. However, when switching to the
Floor Plan view, it becomes obvious that the action needs
correction. |
|
|
Fireplace is Not at Floor Level |
| |
| A
fireplace that has been placed in the Floor Plan View may not attach
to ground level, but, rather locate itself part way up the wall.
Place a fireplace in either the Elevation View or
the Camera view to ensure that it attaches to the floor. |
