  5. Click Apply near the bottom-right portion of the window.

Issue ISSET_SE Caused a General Protection Fault...
Description
Solution During the installation of Africa Trail® the error message "ISSET_SE caused a GPF in module [various]" may appear. This issue is most often due to an anti-virus program running in the background, in addition, using Point32 or MSWheel mouse programs may cause the error. The issue may also due to a conflict between the mouse driver and the actual mouse device being used. Closing all TSRs, or installing the correct mouse driver should resolve the issue. Closing Background Applications

  1. Make sure there are no programs running in the background. Hold down the Ctrl and Alt keys at the same time. While these keys are being pressed, tap the Delete key once.

  2. This will open a "Close Program" window, listing all the programs that are currently running. It is necessary to close all programs except Explorer and Systray. To do this, click on a name in the list, then click on the "End Task" button. The display will return to the desktop. Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to return to the Close Program window.

  3. Continue closing all background programs until just Explorer and Systray are shown in the Close Program window, then press the Cancel button.

Note: Some virus-scan programs, such as Norton Anti-Virus, must be disabled before the above procedure will work. Consult your Anti-Virus' program documentation for instructions on how to temporarily disable it.

Verify the Correct Mouse Driver

  1. In the device manager, compare the listed mouse driver with the actual mouse attached to the computer.

  2. If the listed mouse driver is incorrect, remove and re-install your mouse drivers.
