FAQs
bullet The game crashes to the desktop during the loading window.

Issue The game crashes to the desktop during the loading window.
Description  
Solution Gather hardware information using DirectX Diagnostic Tool

1. Make sure system meets minimum requirements
2. End background tasks by clicking on Ctrl+Alt+Del, and end task on everything except for Explorer and Systray
3. Disable your anti-virus software.
4. Try lowering sound acceleration to basic.
Click START > RUN > Type in "dxdiag"
Select the SOUND tab and lower "Hardware Sound Acceleration" to basic
5. Lower graphic acceleration to basic.
Right-click on the desktop, select SETTINGS > ADVANCED > PERFORMANCE and lower the acceleration to basic
( For Windows 2000 and XP you have to select the TROUBLESHOOTING tab )
6. Check on drivers for your video and sound cards at the manufacturer's website.
7. Update DirectX to latest version for your operating system at www.microsoft.com/directx.
 
Issue I get an error message " Error: _0 " when starting the game.
Description  
Solution This error is related to the display settings. Lego Creator Knights' Kingdom requires a video display setting of at least 640x480 16-bit high color.

To check the display settings:

1. Right click on the Desktop.
2. Click on Properties from the drop down menu.
3. Click on the Settings tab.
4. Click the down arrow by Color Palette or Colors, and choose High-color 16-bit.
5. Set the Screen or Desktop area to 640x480 or 800x600.
6. Click Apply.
7. Then OK
 
Issue I get an error message "corrupt .xvr file in c:\windows\temp\viso.xvr" when starting the game.
Description  
Solution Please remove and re-install Lego Creator Knights' Kingdom, the installation has become corrupted or there are insufficient resources available during installation.
 
Issue After the LEGO logo and intro movie the screen goes black or blank.
Description  
Solution This issue most often occurs on systems that either do not meet the minimum system requirements or should have the video drivers updated on the system. Please see general troubleshooting.
 
Issue When I start LEGO Creator Knights' Kingdom the program I get an error message of a Illeagle operation or an Invaild Page Fault (IPF).
Description  
Solution In many cases updating the drivers on the system has also proven to resolve this issue. Please see General Troubleshooting- Updating Drivers.
