Issue General product info
Description
Solution The initial shipping version of Net Accelerator was build 1.0.35.1 Net Accelerator, Version 1 is Windows 95 compatible only, we do not make a version for Windows 3.x. NetAccelerator version 2 can be used in Windows95,98 and Windows NT. Net Accelerator does not speed up downloads. It should always be paused during the download of files. If you skip through web pages quickly, you will not notice a full 12X speed boost, a lot of the performance of Net Accelerator depends on the customer's style of web surfing, internet congestion, modem speed, etc. The 12X boost is a best case scenario.

Issue When using Net Accelerator, I get a lot of could not find site messages.
Description

Issue Unable to start automation connection
Description
Solution Update to most current version of Net Accelerator first. Net Accelerator will not take you through your logon procedure for your ISP. You will still need to logon and enter a password if necessary before you start Net Accelerator. Once online, you will be able to launch Net Accelerator and open your browser. Some ISP's auto-load a browser as part of the logon procedure. Net Accelerator needs to be started between these two activities. After you are online, and before their browser is opened. You may need to call your ISP and ask them how to disable the auto-load of your web browser, and setup a dial up connection to dial into the Internet Service Provider.

Issue When I click on pre-fetched links, only the text on the web page comes up
Description
Solution Customer has a Netscape browser. This is the difference between the way Internet Explorer and the Netscape browsers work. Internet Explorer makes a single call to a webserver and retrieves the text and graphical content of a web site at the same time. Netscape browsers make two separate calls, the first for the text and the second for the graphic content. Net Accelerator can only allow a limited time for each of these to occur before it has to move on to the next link. On pages with large graphics, Net Accelerator is timing out before the graphics are downloaded to the cache. No work around or solution.

Issue What is meant by Permanent Favorites?
Description
Solution Permanent favorites are pages that NA saves because you visit them frequently. NA refreshes these pages when your modem is not being fully utilized. This list of pages is maintained even when NA is closed. Temporary favorites will be lost when NA is shut down.
