Check www.viaarena.com for the latest drivers available.

For all other motherboard drivers, please contact the motherboard manufacturer for the most recent drivers available.

Method 5: Restart Your Computer by Using a Clean Boot Procedure

When you start Microsoft Windows, typically there are a number of programs that start automatically and run in the background that may interfere with the game. These programs may include antivirus and system utility programs. When you perform a clean boot, you prevent these programs from starting automatically. You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group to complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may also prevent you from completing this procedure.

To restart your computer by using a clean boot procedure, follow these steps when you are using Windows XP.

Note You may experience a temporary loss of some services functionality when you follow these steps. Restoring the settings restores the functionality, but may result in the return of the original error message or behavior.

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.
  2. In the Open box, type msconfig, and then click OK.
  3. On the General tab, click Selective Startup.
  4. Under Selective Startup, click to clear the following check boxes:
    bulletProcess SYSTEM.INI File
    bulletProcess WIN.INI File
    bulletLoad Startup Items
  5. On the Services tab, click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable All.
  6. Click OK, and then click Restart.
* By replacing the checks in the boxes and restarting the computer after testing the game, you can return your computer to the same status as before you cleared the check boxes.

Issue Laptops not supported
Description
Solution Our products have not been tested to be used on laptop computers. Laptops are all-in-one devices that combine a monitor, CPU, keyboard, video and audio cards. Because of this, some resources are ‘shared’ or ‘integrated’. Also the CPU or processors have a different architecture than that of desktop PC's. Therefore the device performance is different and game stability cannot be guaranteed.

While we do not support or test our products on laptops, that does not neccessarily mean that they will not run. We would recommend that you update all device drivers associated with your laptop and try the game. If this still does not work, then I would like to re-iterate that unfortunately there is no further help or support we can provide you.

Issue 16 Bit Windows Subsystem error during install
Description
Solution This is a Windows XP and Windows 2000 exclusive error message. If you recieved this error message, then a windows file 'autoexec.nt' has been removed from the system32 directory. Please follow the instructions below to fix this issue:
bulletSelect start
bulletSelect search
bulletSelect all files and folders from the list
bulletType in autoexec.nt in the search field (this should bring up at least one option located in the C:\windows\repair folder
bulletRight click on this entry and select copy
bulletDouble click on My Computer (may be on the start menu or desktop)
bulletSelect the C: drive
bulletDouble click on the Windows folder
bulletDouble click on the System32 folder
bulletChoose edit from the top and select paste
bulletClose all windows and try installing the program again
If the above workaround does not fix your issue, then the autoexec.nt file has been corrupted and is unusable. From what we have seen this issue happens because spyware software (not a virus) has corrupted your 16 bit windows application files in your windows install. You will need to replace or repair this file. Please try downloading and running the following fix:
